Activities Galore in the Glorious Fall

Fall has arrived. Autumn has always been my favorite season, not only because my birthday falls in the Fall, but also because of the colors, the warm dry weather, and the advance toward the holidays. It’s a good thing I’m retired, you say? I can sit back and enjoy this lovely season? Hm. I do my best to stop and smell the dry leaves, the thick air, and the pumpkin cookies.

It’s just that…this year the free time hasn’t been free. You see those leaves in the yard above? They take time to remove–lots of time. 20141025_153233 Take a gander at one of the chests my husband and I put together for my mother’s new apartment. We put together four chests and two bar stools 20141025_153240 after driving the truck to the furniture store on the opposite side of the metro twice to pick up the boxes of (ugh) self-assembly furniture. Another time-consuming activity.

Autumn hasn’t been all work and no play. Our Venice

20140917_183843  to Vienna 20141001_155051 trip took up a couple of weeks, but they were fun weeks! I mean, hey, I didn’t have any trouble enjoying Verona, Italy 20140919_170129 Bolzano, Italy,  20140921_131613

Salzburg, Austria 20140925_125339 Munich, Germany during

20140923_181033 Oktoberfest, Hallstatt, Austria,

20140926_130829

and all the other beautiful towns, lakes, rivers, and countryside in the three countries we visited.

Then, the most exciting (albeit even more time-consuming) Fall happening was the launch of my first published book, CATastrophic Connections: A Psycho Cat and the Landlady Mystery. You can find it on Amazon.com. Promotion was never my strong suit, and it takes scads of time, but I want my lovely book to be read by everyone–at least by those who like mysteries and want to find out more about Kansas City and enjoy cats and love a humorous but suspenseful story and… Well, find out more about it on my Amazon author page or on my Website: http://joyceannbrown.com/.

So my dear reader, you must have guessed why I haven’t posted here for several weeks–I’m retired. Or, just tired.
