Early Retirement Journey

The cozy mystery of my retirement included finding out whether I really wanted to write. The first year away from full-time employment I wrote a book for my baby grandchild. My sister illustrated it, and I laminated and bound it myself. There are only four copies in the world, but I love that book. I also started taking classes–mostly online. Those classes gave me writing tips, let me express myself in writing, and gave me a little confidence. Then I attended a community writers’ workshop for mystery writing. That gave me the impetus to start writing my book, the cozy mystery that I am still editing and still learning how to get it published.
